Welcome to bscht.org.uk

City of BirminghamBirmingham is one of the largest cities in the UK and is situated in the centre of the country. As such is has excellent transport links, both with the rest of the UK and the wider world. The airport is the 6th largest in the UK and has the highest number of business users, most likely due to location, than any other airport except for Heathrow. Birmingham is the birthplace of Cadbury's chocolate and there is a 'Cadbury World' located just outside of the city. The shopping facilities are second to none and have recently benefited from a huge refurbishment costing in excess of £9 billion. There is a new shopping mall - The Bullring - as well as a new building for the department store Selfridges and House of Fraser.

Nursing is a rewarding career choice and the largest staff group within the NHS. Nurses need to complete a diploma or degree programme in order to practice and must be registered with the NMC. Nurses may choose to specialise later in their career and, depending on the field that they go into, can expect to spend a portion of their time in educating students and other health professionals, as well as research and management duties in addition to clinical time with patients.

The NHS was set up after the second world war in 1948 and is the largest health care provider in the UK, in addition to being the third largest employer in the world. The service is free at point of contact for service users with the exception of prescription medications which may be paid for depending on what they are.
